The Center for Energy, Environment and Economy (CEEE) at Özyegin University studies issues related to energy, the environment and the economy in a coherent way

Özyegin University founded in 2007, welcomed its first students in September 2008 so it is a young and vibrant university in Istanbul, the economic and cultural capital of Turkey. Özyegin University’s mission is to create, share, and apply knowledge in the service of society. University’s applied research agenda creates useful knowledge. The Center for Energy, Environment and Economy (CEEE) was established at Ozyegin University with the main objective of studying issues related to energy, the environment and the economy in a coherent way and in this aspect it is the first of its kind among other university centers in Turkey. The Center generates know-how and experience by conducting national and international research and service projects. The findings of these efforts are disseminated in various ways for the benefit of industry, the business world, academic circles and the society at large.
Motivation to join NEED4B
One of the future buildings (the School of English Language Institute) of the Ozyegin University Campus will serve as the demonstration site for the activities mentioned in the project. Innovative measures will be defined and applied within NEED4B that will suit best by taking into consideration not only the EU’s and E2BA’s roadmap on the matter but also its applicability in Turkey which is very fine example of a developing country.
Activities in the project
CEEE at Ozyegin University will coordinate all the activities in Turkey in response to the Project. OZU will be the leader of WP1.
