The OzU partner brings NEED4B to the European Sustainable Energy Week

On 7 June, The Univeristy of Ozyegin organized a conference titled “Buildings in Near Future” within the context of EU Sustainable Week (EUSEW) Energy Days 2017.

The conference was focused in the “integrated design” based in the experience of the Turkish demonstrator in the framework of NEED4B: the SCoLA building.

Following there can be found the abstract of the conference, and attached to this piece of news there is the agenda of the event:

The buildings of the future are already underway. Comfort and high energy performance will be the new ‘normal’ for the buildings of the future; ‘scientific’ and ‘integrated’ will be the two key concepts of this exciting new era.

We are conducting integrated and multidisciplinary studies for developing the engineering concepts, architectural thoughts, psychological needs and associated sociological tendencies necessary for this transition period, along with its required computer codes and detailed understanding of economic limitations.

Such studies can only be conducted with wide participation and discussions based on multi-layered collective efforts undertaken by multi-disciplinary groups. To facilitate such an outcome we are organizing series of events to discuss and synthesize the focused perspectives of researchers from different disciplines. The fourth of these ‘CEEE Interdisciplinary Approaches for High Energy Performance Buildings’ events will be held on 7 June 2017.
