The design project of the CIRCE II building has been presented in Congress “Edificios Energía Casi Nula” for near-zero energy buildings, held during the 6th and 7th of May 2014, in Madrid.
A communication paper was submitted by CIRCE, University of Zaragoza and IDOM who are NEED4B project coordinator, building owner and architects, respectively, and presented to more than 330 professionals from the building sector.
CIRCE’s Executive Director, Andrés Llombart, presented NEED4B as an outstanding European project about research and demonstration of energy efficiency in buildings. This way, the Spanish demonstrator, CIRCE II building, was introduced as a case-study in the field.
The Congress for near-zero energy buildings is considered as the main national forum for professionals related to high-efficiency buildings. The congress focuses in the key factors that affect this sector, such as international and national policies, strategies, economic feasibility, new technologies and materials, guidelines, good practices etc.
